| When I met Dr. Lalithamika Babu for my first time several years ago I saw her husband Dr. Chandra Babu walking down the road at lighthouse beach to visit a patient, whom he was called to. At that time she had rented a small house at lighthouse beach in Kovalam as a guesthouse and ayurvedic treatment center for her mostly European clients. This little story showed me the passion and high competence of both the highly skilled doctors of ayurvedic medicine. At a certain time the guesthouse became too small, the clients too many. And so the fabulous beach resort was built in Nellikunnu, some 4 km from Kovalam direction Poovar. It is located on a wonderful still lonely beach under palm trees presenting with 14 rooms, two apartments and a beautiful kerala style treatment house. Since I observed that first story I came again several times as a client of ayurveda therapy seeking for help from Dr. Lalitha. After a first ayurvedic consultation procedure she decides about the necessary ttreatment and gives the instructions to the healing hands of experienced therapist. Love and laughter flows through the air at lunch and dinner ( both vegetarian Indian style ) when Lalitha comes telling stories of Hinduism or explaining ayurvedic medicine and diet. And - to whom therapy, massages, beach, sun, meals, relaxing, meeting new friendly people is not enough, Laltiha owns an organisational talent for all kind of excursions, trips and travels. I always left Ayurbay and Lalitha as well relaxed as strengthend and full of new power. Massages and treatment contain an enormous power, that in its full intensity only show up when back home and to regular routine life. To stay here is a real joy, a pleasure for body and soul. |
